The most abundant non-intoxicating cannabinoid in hemp, and the compound almost everything on our shelf is dosed around. CBD will not get you high. It shows up in tinctures, gummies, softgels, topicals and flower, and it is the number you’re reading when a label says “1000mg.”
A minor cannabinoid that forms slowly as THC ages and oxidizes. Because of that, it appears in small amounts naturally and is often added deliberately to evening formulas. It’s the cannabinoid most associated with nighttime products, and many customers find it a good fit for a wind-down routine. More on CBN and sleep →
Often called the “mother cannabinoid,” because the plant produces CBGA first and then converts most of it into other cannabinoids as it matures. That means very little CBG is usually left at harvest, which is why CBG-forward products tend to cost a bit more per milligram than CBD.
The intoxicating cannabinoid in cannabis. Hemp, by federal definition, contains no more than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight — a trace amount rather than a dose. Full-spectrum products keep that trace; broad-spectrum and isolate products don’t. More on the 0.3% rule →
Aromatic compounds found all over the plant world — they’re why pine smells like pine and lemon peel smells like lemon. Hemp makes dozens of them, and they’re responsible for how a flower or a full-spectrum oil smells and tastes. They’re also a big part of what people mean when they say two extracts “feel different” from each other.
Another family of plant compounds, found in hemp as well as in fruit, tea and vegetables. They contribute to color, aroma and flavor. Like terpenes, they survive in whole-plant extracts and disappear entirely from isolate.
An extract that keeps the complete range of compounds found in the original hemp plant: high-potency CBD, trace cannabinoids like CBG and CBN, natural terpenes and flavonoids, and trace THC within the 0.3% federal legal limit. Best for people who want maximum plant potential and are comfortable with trace THC.
Starts life as a full-spectrum extract, then goes through an additional specialized molecular extraction process that removes the THC completely while keeping the other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. Best for people who want compound synergy without THC risk — whether that’s because of employment screening or simple personal preference.
CBD refined until nothing else is left — typically a 99%-plus pure crystalline powder. No THC, no terpenes, no minor cannabinoids, essentially no hemp flavor. The most predictable option on the shelf, and the least complex.
The idea that hemp’s cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids work better together than any single compound does on its own. It’s the reasoning behind whole-plant extracts and the reason full- and broad-spectrum products exist at all.
